Fifteen years behind the needle. Six in film. Four shaping the designers who’ll define what comes next.

Valerie  built her craft the slow, exacting way — starting as a seamstress before transitioning into independent film, where she’s worked across nearly every genre the format has to offer. That foundation in construction isn’t just résumé texture; it’s the reason her work holds up on screen.

As an educator and Mentor, she’s brought that same rigor to the next generation through Dead Center University, Scissortail Studios, and Meridian Tech to name a few — teaching not just technique, but the instincts that make a costume designer indispensable on set.
